ABOUT THE BREED…...

 

 

The Breed is often referred to as the English Jack Russell, Irish Jack Russell, Shorty, Puddin or just Russell Terrier.  The coats come in smooth, broken and rough (less shedding).   The color is mainly white with tan, chestnut, lemon or black markings or combination.  The puppies have a poised springy gait holding their tails high.  The chest is deep and their bodies have strong muscle definition.  The teeth are aligned.  Their demeanor is friendly, quietly confident and full of personality.  The should not be “on” all the time and should be happy to sit quietly with you.   They are highly intelligent and are easily trained with the proper start.

 

“DON’T BE FOOLED BY BACKYARD PUPPY MILL BREEDING OR GIMIC BREEDERS OF 100% IRISH”-MANY LINES HAVE FOX TERRIER INFUSION (EVEN FROM IRELAND) AND THEY HAVE THE SAME EXCITABILITY ISSUES AS THEIR LONG LEGGED COUSINS.   ONLY A HAND FULL OF BREEDERS ARE STICKING WITH THE FOUNDATION LINES THAT WERE CREATED BY THE IRISHMAN WANTING A WELL ROUNDED FAMILY DOG SAFE AROUND CHILDREN AND COMPATABLE WITH FARMING AND HUNTING.

 

My breeding program is designed to provide what 99% of prospective Jack Russell owners  are seeking in a pup. Jacks-R-Us qualities surpass most others with beautiful show conformational looks, superb intelligence, sweet loyal gentle dispositions and sound health.  These attributes provide the discriminating family a jump start advantage for their family pet, show/agility or working dog. 

We participate in OFA-orthopedic testing, Baer hearing testing and genetic analysis.
